Alexa Park Las Vegas: A Neil Diamond Tribute

The legendary Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas residency CONTINUES ON in the “Alexis Park Modern Showrooms” at ALEXIS PARK HOTEL.

Neil Diamond is one of the best-selling and most iconic singer/songwriters in rock and pop music history.

In addition to being one of the top-selling and most successful live artists ever, he’s also composed the songs of a generation — including some of the most famous songs on the planet.

In early 2018, shortly before his 77th birthday, Neil Diamond retired from touring after being affected by Parkinson’s.

However, Diamond’s on-stage legacy continues to be celebrated for audiences throughout the world through tribute artist Rob Garrett, often called “the best of the best”.

Ask Siri “who is America’s number one Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll always hear Rob Garrett.

Like his legendary counterpart, Rob Garrett was born in Brooklyn, NY.

In the spring of 1974, his parents relocated from New York City to Las Vegas, where, two years later, he witnessed his first Neil Diamond concert when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts (now “PH Live”) in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him another 16 times across the country—right up until Diamond’s last American show at the LA Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett formed his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a successful 15-year run in Las Vegas and across the nation before making the move from lead singer of a cover band to a tribute artist dedicated to one of his musical idols.

In 1995, Garrett was hand-picked by Paul Revere (of The Raiders) to portray Neil Diamond in the “Legends in Concert” show in Honolulu, Hawaii.

What was meant to be a three-month trial turned into a long-term hit show.

By August 1998, Garrett returned home to Las Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another couple of years before deciding to launch his own show.

He began a busy tour circuit, building a strong worldwide fan community along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Las Vegas.”

He continues to sell out theaters nationwide, often in venues reserved for national acts.

Garrett has also received multiple accolades, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19, 2025 officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating Rob’s 50 years as a Las Vegas resident and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in the year 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years on stage in Las Vegas, with the last three decades devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has played in more Vegas rooms than any peer.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the nation’s sole ongoing Neil Diamond tribute show.

The Rob Garrett Neil Diamond Tribute Show Las Vegas event calendar Alexis Park Resort is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., just ¼ mile west of Paradise Rd..
